Teacher

Mr. Henwood is a veteran teacher, who has taught English in Japan for a total of more than 28 years. He has taught children through to the aged, at all levels of ability, and many types of English, including basic, advanced, business and legal. He is accustomed to ‘one-on-one’ or large groups, textbook lessons or discussion style.
Stewart first came to Japan from New Zealand as a student in 1985. He has taught at NHK Gakuen, Asahi Culture Centre, various manufacturing and trading companies, as well as law firms. These days, when he is not teaching at Tooley’s Classroom, he is teaching at a large law firm in Marunouchi.
Stewart has an English language teaching certificate and, more recently, a Legal Assistant Studies certificate from Temple University. He is very interested in sport, especially rugby, skiing, and swimming.

ヘンウッド先生は、日本で英語を２8年以上教えているベテラン先生です。子供から大人まで、あらゆるレベルの人を教えてきました。そして、基礎英語から上級者の英語、ビジネス英語、法律関連専門英語など、たくさんのタイプの英語を教えています。また、一対一の個人レッスンから、大人数のクラスまで、教科書主体のレッスンから会話スタイルのレッスンとあらゆる教え方に精通しています。
１９８５年に学生としてニュージーランドから来日し、今までに、NHK学園、朝日カルチャーセンター、製造業や貿易会社、そして、弁護士事務所などで、英語を教えてきています。現在は、トゥーリーズクラスルームの他に丸の内の大手弁護士法律事務所で、教えています。
テンプル大学で、英語教授免許状、及びリーガルアシスタント修了証明書を取得しています。スポーツが趣味で、特にラグビー、水泳、スキーが好きです。
